Cody Janssen Ready for 2016 Season
An open letter from reigning ATV Derby Pro World Champion, former AMA ATV Pro Rookie of the Year, and multi-time ATVMX National Champion Cody Janssen—
“As the preseason comes to an end, I wanted to take the opportunity to set the stage and update all my sponsors, supporters, friends, and family on what I’ve been up to prior to the season opener at Daytona International Speedway.
I spent the fall and winter months as I normally do, going to college at the University of Wisconsin – Fox Valley. After a very successful fall semester, and many days spent working diligently in the shop on my customer work and my own race program, I was able to head south to get some preseason seat time. The 3-4 weeks I spend in Waldo, Florida were a God-sent as I got some of the best riding of my entire life.
In the last 10 days I ran home to Wisconsin, finished building my race quad, and made it back to Florida to get a few more days of riding in before Daytona – where I write you from now.
My program remains similar to years past with some calculated adjustments. I will be returning to my #25, the number I won all my National Championships with and the same number I ran for almost all of my racing career (for those of you who don’t remember, I was forced to change my number when I went pro being that my number wasn’t available at the time). I just feel I’ve taken more control of my entire program and I believe that is going to translate directly to greater success.
Finally, I want to thank the Londerville Family and the Londerville Steel crew from coming on as the main sponsor for my 2016 campaign. I have never felt as good as I do sitting here today. In my last year of eligibility in the Pro Am class, I want nothing more than to win it and I know I am more than capable of doing so. I also know I have what it takes to be a top 5 pro and that is what I aspire to do, that’s why I’ve been working so hard. I think the sky is the limit as we head to the Daytona ATV Supercross, I feel like myself and my program have taken another step and that will show come race day.
Thank you to all of you who support me, without you none of this would be possible! God bless.”
