Janssen Wins Gravity Park USA DirtGrinder Season Opener
Between the Texas and Alabama rounds of the ATV Motocross National Championship series, former AMA ATV Pro Rookie of the Year and ATV Derby Pro World Champion Cody Janssen conveniently found himself back in Wisconsin for Gravity Park USA’s Dirtgrinder series season opener. Janssen attended the event at his local track and went on to grab both holeshots and win both motos in the Quad A class, leaded every lap in the process and winning in dominant fashion. Cody’s first youth ATV motocross race was at this track 15+ years ago, he told us it was fun to get back to his old stomping grounds and see all the familiar faces at the [local] races.
“I had a blast tonight!” Janssen told us after his wins. “It’s fun to be back out here for a race. I do a lot of practicing here, but it sure is fun to come out to a Gravity Park race again. If I told you it wasn’t fun getting holeshots and winning races, no matter where it is, I’d be lying. I had a blast tonight!”
Cody followed up the race Friday night with a couple of high quality days of riding to follow. He is feeling more prepared than ever heading into Monster Mountain this weekend, a track he really enjoys.
