Cody Janssen Announces Plans to Miss ATV Pro Challenge

Nearly two months removed from the Loretta Lynn’s finale of the Mountain Dew AMA ATV National Championship series, many have spent the time since resting and recouping from a daunting national schedule. That being said, Cody Janssen, 2014 AMA ATV Pro Rookie of the Year, is not one of them. Cody hasn’t taken a day off from his gym and training regiment since the finale. He has spent a lot of time on the bike as well; winning races, testing, and improving his program as he has already started preparing for the 2015 national season.

Many of the world’s best ATV racers have circled the ATV Pro Challenge in Memory of Caleb Moore in Kemp, Texas on their calendars. This event is held in memorial of Caleb Moore, an X Games Champion, and a product of the ATV racing Community. Cody Janssen, feeling great about where he’s at with his training and testing would love to be in attendance and keep the momentum going that he built up over the second half of the national schedule. Unfortunately, he is glum to announce that he will miss the Pro Challenge.

“Much like last year, my school schedule is going to make it nearly impossible for me to attend the Pro Challenge. It’s a shame just because it is such a great, meaningful event. But from September to January my number one priority is college and focusing on my academics. It’s unfortunate but I know it’s the right decision. I hope the event goes well, I hope everyone down there stays safe and has the best of luck. Lastly, I have the utmost respect for Caleb. I continue to keep himself, his family, and all the others that miss and love him in my thoughts and prayers. As for me, I’m going to keep focusing on school and keep riding and training as much as possible as well. I have high hopes for 2015 and I’m setting my team and myself up for success as we speak. My goal is to create a brighter day for as many people as I possibly can by being on this earth. Being someone that can be a good role model and use my God-given talents to inspire others. God bless.”
