ICYMI: Janssen Battles to Double Podium in Ironman Return
(Crawfordsville, Indiana — May 11, 2025) Ironman Raceway once again hosted the world’s best ATV racers for Round 4 of the 2025 ATV Motocross National Championship. The historic Crawfordsville, Indiana, facility — named after late GNCC legend Bob “Ironman” Sloan — has become one of the sport’s premier venues, offering a perfect mix of challenge and nostalgia for both riders and fans.
For four-time National Champion Cody Janssen, Ironman marks a special stop each season. After more than seven months away from racing, the Kaukauna, Wisconsin, native made his long-awaited return to national competition — and quickly proved he hadn’t missed a beat.
“Man, it felt so good to get back to racing — so many memories made with this crew,” Janssen said. “Friday marked my first time on the quad since last fall, and it took me until the second motos to start feeling like myself again. Once I did, it felt awesome to lead some laps. I came up just short of a win, but I’m proud of the fight and can’t wait for the next one.”
Janssen capped the weekend with a pair of third-place overalls in both 25+ and 30+ A, shaking off the rust and reigniting his competitive spark. More than results, though, he says it’s the connection with fans and listeners of the Digging Deep ATVMX Podcast that makes race weekends so meaningful.
“What truly sticks with me is the love I feel from everyone who stops to talk about Digging Deep — whether it’s racing, podcast topics, fantasy picks, or merch,” he added. “It reminds me that what we’re doing matters. Thank you all for the support.”
Janssen extended thanks to the Hart family for providing a trailer, Dave at PRP Racing for mechanical help, and everyone who pitched in over the weekend.
“Living the dream,” Janssen concluded.
As always, Cody extends his sincere gratitude to the many companies and supporters who make his program possible, starting with Yamaha Outdoors, Wienen Motorsports, PEP Performance Tuning, and Paul Turner for their unmatched support and guidance. Additional thanks go to SSI Decals, CST Tires, Valvoline, Elka Suspension, FMF Racing, and All Balls Racing Group — longtime partners who continue to fuel his passion and pursuit of excellence. Janssen also thanks his parents, wife Brooke, mechanic Dan Binder, and the entire Janssen Motorsports crew for their unwavering support. Special appreciation goes to GPS Offroad Products, E-Z UP Instant Shelters, Klink Equipment and Klink Hydraulics, Jay Gobel at Impact Solutions, Hinson Clutch Components, Thor MX, Parts Unlimited, D.I.D Chain, Atlas Brace, Cliff Cox, Precision Powder LLC, Bell Helmets, 100% Goggles, DT1 Filters, Larry Mills and DP Brakes, Rath Racing, Walsh RaceCraft, Fourwerx Carbon, Sunstar Sprockets, Works Connection, Renthal, Pro-Tec Racing, B.C.C.
